  • 6. Engagement Features Tutorial (For Readers)

FameWeaver makes reading fun with achievements, badges, and friendly competition!

Understanding WPM (Words Per Minute) Tracking

What is WPM? WPM measures how fast you read. We track this automatically as you enjoy stories!

    How It's Calculated:

  • We measure time spent on each page
  • We count the words on that page
  • We calculate: Words / Minutes = WPM
  • We filter out outliers (bathroom breaks, falling asleep)
  • Your WPM Stats:

StatWhat It Means |------|---------------| Current Session WPMYour speed right now Rolling Average (7 days)Your recent typical speed All-Time AverageYour overall reading speed Best WPMYour personal record

Genre-Specific WPM: Different genres read at different speeds! We track:

  • Thriller WPM (usually faster - page turners!)
  • Literary Fiction WPM (often slower - savoring prose)
  • Sci-Fi WPM (varies - technical concepts slow you down)
  • And more!

  • WPM Percentiles and Badges

How Percentiles Work: Your WPM is compared to all FameWeaver readers:

  • Top 1% = You're faster than 99% of readers
  • Top 50% = You're faster than half of readers
  • WPM Badge Tiers:

  • 9. FAQ

    General Questions

Q: Is FameWeaver free to use? A: FameWeaver offers a free tier with basic features. Premium subscriptions unlock additional features like unlimited ScriptSense analyses, priority support, and advanced tools.

Q: Can I switch my user type after registration? A: Your primary type affects your main dashboard, but you can access features for other roles. Contact support if you need to change your primary type.

Q: How do I delete my account? A: Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. Note: This is permanent and removes all your data.

    Writer Questions

Q: How many ScriptSense analyses do I get? A: Free tier: 3/month. Basic: 10/month. Standard: 25/month. Premium: Unlimited.

Q: Can I export my projects? A: Yes! Click the three-dot menu on any project and select "Export" to download as PDF, Final Draft, or plain text.

Q: Why does GoWriteSense sometimes not show feedback? A: GoWriteSense requires at least 50 characters and waits for a brief pause in typing. If you're writing continuously, it waits to avoid interrupting your flow.

Q: How do I improve my ScriptSense score? A: See our detailed tips in Section 8. Focus on the category where you score lowest first.

    Actor Questions

Q: What video formats are accepted? A: MP4, MOV, and WebM. Maximum file size depends on your subscription tier.

Q: How does ActItSense work? A: Upload a performance video, and our AI analyzes vocal delivery, physical expression, emotional range, and more, providing scores and specific feedback.

Q: Can agents see my portfolio without my permission? A: Only if you enable MatchMeSense in your bio. You control your visibility.

    Agent/Publisher Questions

Q: How do I verify my professional status? A: Go to Settings > Verification and submit documentation (company registration, AAR membership, etc.). Verification typically takes 2-3 business days.

Q: Can I contact any writer on the platform? A: You can message any writer who has enabled MatchMeSense. Writers with disabled discoverability require an introduction request.

Q: How accurate are ScriptSense scores? A: ScriptSense is trained on thousands of produced scripts and published works. It's a helpful filter, not a replacement for professional judgment. We recommend it as a first-pass tool.

    Reader Questions

Q: How is my WPM calculated? A: We measure time on each page and words displayed. We filter out abnormal readings (very short or very long times) to get an accurate average.

Q: What if I lose my streak unfairly? A: Use a Streak Freeze Token within 24 hours of missing a day. If you believe there was a technical issue, contact support.

Q: Can other readers see my reading history? A: By default, your reading is private. You can choose to make your currently reading list or favorites public in your privacy settings.

Q: How do I earn more XP? A: Read stories, complete chapters, rate content, comment, follow authors, complete challenges, and earn badges. Everything you do earns XP!
